FORGET THE PLAIN SUB.
GRINDER SALAD CHANGES EVERYTHING.
A dressed, shredded salad packed into a sub. That’s the whole trick.
Here’s the move. Shred lettuce, onion, and pepperoncini. Toss it with oil, red wine vinegar, and a little oregano. That salad is the magic.
Layer meat and cheese on a soft roll. Pile the dressed salad on top. Press the lid down and slice. Every bite is crunchy, tangy, and loaded. I made one for lunch. It ruined regular sandwiches for me.
Why did it blow up? The vinegar. It soaks into the bread just enough. Suddenly a cold sub tastes like a deli masterpiece.
The secret is to dress the salad first. Never the bare bread. In other words… toss, then build. That order is the whole hack.
